Christmas in the Park

My working year in 2015 ended with a huge bang, MC'ing Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park in the Auckland Domain. It was a genuine honour for me to be involved in such a huge production, with a crowd of over 100,000 people all having a great night, singing and dancing the night away with a talented cast of performers.

Any lingering doubts I had that I missed my calling and should have been a pop-star were swiftly quashed when I was forced to join in on the final number. I clapped, clicked my fingers, and swayed from side to side with all the grace and style of a donkey on an ice-rink.

Getting to hang out with the big man in red himself was fantastic though. He was just a solid, regular dude. He really hasn't let the fame go to his head, and even though he was gearing up to travel the entire globe in the space of a single night, he still took time to chat to everyone and knock out a few hundred selfies. What a guy. I'm calling it right now, he deserves some kind of official recognition on next years New Years Honours roll.
